Jami is a writer to her core, but with over 12 years of experience in direct response marketing, she’s also developed a fierce love for providing overall creative direction, analyzing customer journeys, diving into audience research, and comparing A/B testing results.
Jami is a Des Moines native who received a double degree in Magazine Journalism and Creative Writing from Drake University. Before Meld, Jami worked at Dotdash Meredith in the internal creative department for their commerce and subscription marketing efforts. There she touched everything from direct mail packages to landing pages—and everything in between.
Throughout her marketing journey, Jami has perfected her ability to put herself in each unique customer’s shoes to create relatable messaging. She also geeks out over big strategic plans and developing the smaller ‘puzzle pieces’ that will bring everything together.
Most People Wouldn’t Know: I was a surrogate in 2022 for a wonderful family in California (who now feels like an extension of my family) and gave birth to an almost 13-pound baby boy.
Favorite Food: Pasta or Nachos

Perfect Day: A comfortable (not too hot, not too cold) day where my daughters and I can drive with the windows down, and sing along to the music cranked up loud. There’s no fighting and no complaining to be had. (Which doesn’t happen often, HA).
Favorite Color: Green
Favorite Music Genre or Artist: I have an eclectic taste in music. Some of my most-played artists on Spotify are Taylor Swift, Macklemore, The Head and the Heart, Bo Burnham, and the Hamilton soundtrack.
Favorite Book: Untamed by Glennon Doyle
Best Advice Received: Trying to put good out into the world can feel daunting, but if you find something that you love and do it every day (or as often as you can) for the rest of your life, eventually that will make a small ripple wave of difference in the world.
Favorite Thing About Working at Meld: The personal touch in EVERYTHING. Not only does Meld really strive to listen to each client’s unique needs, but they also take the time to get to know and work with each employee’s strengths and working habits.
