Just for fun: Designer. Music Lover. Cycling. Longboarding. Day/Weekend trips with family.

Most People Wouldn’t Know: I once had a guitar lesson randomly with Jim Root before he was famous in Des Moines at Ye Olde Guitar Shoppe when I was around 12 years old.
Favorite Local Establishment: Record Collector (I always tell people it’s one of the best record shops I’ve been to in the country and its greatness lives in Iowa City)
Favorite Food: It’s ever changing but right now I like the quickness and taste of yogurt.
Favorite TV Show: Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee and Seinfeld
Perfect Day: Any day where the inspiration comes to me. That could be rain or shine. Also traveling with my wife and son wherever we decide to go on our short trips. Camping in Decorah always seems to end up perfect.

Favorite Color: Surfer Orange
Favorite Music Genre or Artist: The shortlist is: The Kinks,
Bob Dylan, Miles Davis, Sonny Rollins, Iggy and The Stooges,
Yo La Tengo, Led Zeppelin, Jane’s Addiction, Blonde Redhead, and Sonic Youth
Favorite Book: On The Road – Jack Kerouac. I’m drawn to the concept of prose rhythm syncing with the cadence of jazz music.
Best Advice Received: “Pay off your credit card every month.” It was solid advice I received from my Grandpa. I say it to my son and he knows it without having a credit card yet.
Favorite Thing About Working at Meld: I like how collaborative the team is at Meld and the focus on producing great design work.
